If you said this movie sucked I would never speak to you again. You didn't though and that's awesome. 1. I don't think the Aliens wanted to divulge much information with the humans on why they where there and why the ship really broke down. In the beginning of the film it say's something about an important part falling off the ship that was never found a.k.a. the government took it and hid it somewhere. Besides, if this happened tomorrow, would there be any sort of thing resembling a launch? 2. This is for people reading this review. The beginning is not boring, it displays the cruelty and hate that mankind expresses towards these creatures, not only that some things are pretty funny as well. It's necessary to build the story up to the character changes coming later on. The beginning of the story also displays concepts/actions that you won't really understand until you watch them play out further in the film. Albert, your a good guy.
